Neptunes Ball
My two looks are inspired by the Ancient Roman God of the Sea, Neptune. I use real fish hooks and fish lure as well as interactive reversible sequins to showcase the movement of scales and waves. I like to think I created Sirens, as my outfits are seductive yet deadly. Apart from the sea, I was very inspired by space, particularly space monsters and 1960s space girls. I was also interested in repurposing camouflage. I think we are so intrigued by space and the deep sea because these places are far away from western colonization. I use camouflage because unfortunately we tend to destroy the things that captivate us.
